Re: speed has dropped 6mb !

Hi

If your on a wireless connection can you try connecting direct to your hub via an ethernet cable.

Then check to see if any change.

If you run the BT speed tester http://www.speedtester.bt.com/

This will give you your IP profile.

eg.-

Download speedachieved during the test was - 36616 Kbps

For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 12000-38717 Kbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is -38717 Kbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 1488 Kbps

 Additional Information:

Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 2000 Kbp

You can check if your on a clear wireless channel using a free checker http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/

The highest Upload I get is also 1.6Mb but this is due to my option 1 cap.

It would be interesting to see if your IP profile has dropped since installation.....

Sorry I have to go out.... perhaps if you can let us know your results someone may be able to decide what direction the problem is.

Edit if your speed remains below 15Mb and your on Infinity ie you have option 1 or 2, then I believe that is  below the allowable threshold and BT have to fix the problem.... assuming it's not wireless problem..... Woops must rush.
