Re: speed is terrible!!!

Out of the blue, my speed has gone up to 7MB again. After booking an engineer for Thu BT support called me back about 30 mins later and said there was a problem at the exchange and my broadband would be fixed with no engineer visit. I asked why it had happened and what the problem was but they did not know or were unwilling to tell me.

However broadband now operating at expected speed and hopefully engineer won't make a visit on the and pull the plug out! Thanks to all for help/advice

Re: speed is terrible!!!

the time taken depends on how many vps the exchange has how many need upgrading it is software that is upgraded and requires specialist engineers to do the job they travel the uk doing this work so some times you may be lucky and its days other times it could be weeks depends on pressure of work

Could you send in your details so I can check what's already been done and send me a PM when it's done so I can pick it up?
