swapping to Sky - email address

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to keep my BT email address if I swap to Sky for Broadband etc. Getting a little peed off with BT and the price, but have been with them for over 10 years so my email address is linked to many important thing, way too many to remember to change them all.

I am being charge £40.52 a month for a service which Sky can offer for £23.75. Just seems crazy.

If you could let me know if it is possible, that would be great. Clare Smiley Wink

Yes you need to set up a BT Yahoo Premium Mail account cost about 1.50 per month

Re: swapping to Sky - email address

I used to have a btinternet account under my parents broadband account.

They left BT years ago, but I still have my account intact by doing nothing.

My assumption was that is was a yahoo account rather than a BT account, even though it still kept the @btinternet part.

Maybe others can confirm.

From what I understand, you will not be able to use the BT SMTP server without a subscription to premium mail.

I think webmail should be fine, you may get more adverts than normal on the pages.
