Re: which router can replace the bthomehub2 for better performance?
It is easy enough to replace the BT Home Hub with an alternative router.
I suggest you search the web for the best gaming routers. I use a FritzBox with 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands to support simultaneous internet browsing and gaming. It also has an inbuilt PBX (phone system) and is accessible using Telnet. I have no experience of using it for gaming though.
The FritzBox is quite expensive but there are plenty of alternatives (e.g. Draytek).
My daughter is using a standard Netgear router fro streaming iPlayer.
