Following visit by BT engineer to try and sort out internet problems on TV channels, which for the second time proved unsuccessful!!, we lost broadband connection on our desktop - laptop and mobiles are OK. I have tried to follow advice about how to correct matters but, whatever I do, just get message that local area connection does not recognise IP configuration. Since moving to BT a year ago, we have experienced continual problems with their wi fi connections where the call centre does not appear to have any idea on how to solve matters. Any ideas please on how to resolve?
Try a factory reset of the homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds.
This has been tried previously but did not work. On another continuing issue, our You View box shows that we are connected to the internet for the TV, but when we try to connect to BT Sport, we get the message that we do not have internet connection. We have long regretted our move to BT who just do not appear to have the ability to get our equipment running satisfactorily.
