wi fi password incorrect

 Hello ,

i have got a new mobile phone, and everytime  i try to connect to wi fi  on it it either says incorrect password or timed out, or disabled. I have been onto laptop, and put the correct code in, but it does not work ( incorrect), i have tried  putting no in on back of router, that does not work. I have tried my neighbours (with her permission) to see if my mobile works, and hey presto i can connect to hers, and that was by putting in the no on her router.. My router is a home hub 2 , i have had this quite a long time. By the way, my laptop , and other mobiles, connect to the wi fi no problem. Can anyone help, please?

                                                          Thanks.

Re: wi fi password incorrect

Make sure you turn off "smart setup" on the BT hub.

See link how to do that.

http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44328/~/what-is-smart-setup-on-the-bt-hub%3F-how-can-...

Make sure you are connecting to your BT hub. The name (SSid) of the hub is on the label on the hub and will be something like BTSmarthub- xxxx. Click on that then enter the wireless password/passkey that is also on the hub's label. Do not use the Admin password.

If that still does not work, try a factory reset of the  BT hub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds.

While the hub is restarting you should click on any settings with the BT hub's SSid on the wireless connections on your phone and "forget" them. Once the hub has restarted try making the connection again as out lined above after having turned off the Smart set up again.
