Hello, I have an unusual setup network setup at my house. The router is in a different building to the main house.
Below is a diagram of the setup. All of the walls are 1ft thick stone.
I have an existing powerline Wi-Fi Access point which working fine. But due to the thickness of the walls, I need to add 2 more access points marked with the red crosses.
I am using the BT Mini Wi-Fi Homespot 500 Powerline Extender.
How would I add 2 more access points to the network? and what hardware would I need to use?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can add as many 'slave' PLAs as you like and they will all work back to the one 'master' connected to the router. However, I'm not sure that the hotspot 500s are still available. If they are, get the multi kit which is a master and 2 slaves and just discard the master unit (keep it as a spare).
Would these ones work?
They are not the mini version but I see no reason why they shouldn't work they are the same AV500 standard.
You need to remove the links from your post however as it is against forum rules to link to ecommerce sites.
