Adding second BT Mini Hub

Hello,
I'm trying to add a second BT Mini Hub to my current powerline network, but each time I pair the second unit - it removes the data connection to the first unit.
Where, how or what am I doing wrong here? Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: Adding second BT Mini Hub

You must only have one unit connected to the home hub, all others must be slaved off that single main unit which is connected to the home hub.

You cannot connect two units to the home hub, as you will create an Ethernet loop, and the home hub will lock up.

Hi Keith,

Thanks for your help. I don't think I've made my initial explanation clear. I'm talking about one of these add ons >>> https://www.shop.bt.com/products/bt-mini-hub-add-on-086024-D0ZZ.html

Re: Adding second BT Mini Hub

Wow they are a very expensive add on, just for one single unit, considering BT sell a pair for £20 when you order BT YouView.

It should not cause the other two existing ones to disconnect, provided it has been paired with the master one.
