Re: Another Router Locking Up during large file upload thread. SORRY.

I suspect that if you want a faster upload speed, you may have to use a different router which has a larger internal input buffer. The hardware in the home hubs has not really changed much over the years, but upload speeds have.

It may be worth trying an alternative to see if its any faster, as good wireless routers are not expensive.

@tlmcloughlin

Thanks for confirming. The fix was not to the throttle network speed, the fix is to match upstream rates between the BT Hub and Openreach Modem.

I'd expect network upload speeds to be around 9/10Mbps.

Run a speedtest and see what you get!

DareenW. Is this something that end-users can do or does it require the intervention of Mods/tech support?

Hi @Devon_Dave

It does unfortunately require intervention from Mods/Tech Support at the moment purely just because of the level of access involved in providing a fix.

There is a fix identified for this issue so soon it will no longer be a problem, I can't comment on release dates so don't ask 🙂
