I also find it strange that of all the security software on the market only Avast is saying there is a problem bearing in mind this is new Avast software no long released on the Avast free version
maybe there is a problem but maybe it is just a false postive by Avast
Thank you for that, makes interesting reading , although it still indicates that that hubs need updating to DnsMasq software version 2.78. I was hoping that someone from BT would at least say that they are looking into it.

This sounds like scare tactics to me in order to convert users of the Avast free offering onto their paid for service. If you're really worried about it and are running Windows 10 then ditch Avast and go back to Windows defender, then get yourself a good VPN for less than the cost of a paid for AV
