BT Broadband Extender 600

Go to solution
Hi.
I have 2 extender kits. Each comes with a plug that connects to the broadband and a plug that you place in the house to receive the wifi.
Each pack also comes with its personal network key and password etc etc.
My query is...can I use the plug that doesnt connect directly to the home hub from the 2nd pack. My husband is convinced that each kit is only compatible with their components and you cant mix and match, due to password and networl key etc.
Hope that makes sense? Hope someone can shed some light.

You can only connect one master unit to the home hub, but there is nothing to stop you pairing the other remote unit from the other pack, to the existing master unit connected to the home hub.

You would not be able to use the master unit from the second set, so you would have to keep that as a spare. If you try to connect it to the home hub, you will get problems.
