BT Cloud does not communicate with desktop app on iMac or Macbook Pro

I have had longterm problems with BT Cloud, but have now managed to get the app installed on iMac and Macbook Pro and the Cloud interface working. However, the Cloud and apps are not communicating so files are not being transferred from desktop  or laptop to Cloud. I can upload manually to the Cloud but that is not a solution. So no interaction between Cloud and apps. Apps downloaded yesterday after removing old files with app cleaner as recommended by aother correspondent
