Pretty happy with my camera now and it is operating well with both android phone and iPad. However, I cannot get it to video correctly through a window even after changing to basic motion detection. I just get reflection back from the window glass. Where am I going wrong !

I don't have one of these but if it works like other cameras it will be autofocusing on the glass. You will need to effectively have the lens touching the glass so that it sees through the glass rather than focuses on it.

I get your point but I also use an old mobile phone as a security camera pointing out of a window some 2 inches away and it is fine.

Have you tried it closer to the glass?
