BT Smart Hub 2 DECT

Go to solution

The spec for the new BT Smart Hub 2 indicates that it supports DECT. Does that mean it can be used as a VOIP base station by the BT6500 DECT phones.

I don’t think that feature is generally available yet. I’m not sure of the advantages. All you want is a phone that works.

It’s to be added in the future. You will find that the option is greyed out.

There’s a lot of confusion at the moment.,

There’s wi-fi calling, for mobiles........seems to be of lower interest, after all the hype. Works here.....or at least it’s active here. But if you move out of range then you need a good mobile connection, or you loose connection.

There’s volte, for some  mobile phones.....seems to be having difficulties, with respective operating system updates.
