BT Whole Home - Changing WiFi Channel problem

With the latest firmware v1.02.03 build03 it seems I can no longer change the WiFi channel.

If I change it, my devices then all start to say invalid WiFi password. Tried the default password and mine, but nothing connects. The only way to resolve is to factory reset the master disc and re-set up the network.

Even after a factory reset, changing channels again stops all devices connecting.

At the moment all I can do is a factory reset and then leave everything on Auto. Hope this gets fixed soon as it worked fine on the previous firmware.

Re: BT Whole Home - Changing WiFi Channel problem

I've spotted whats going off Smiley Frustrated

When looking at the Wi-Fi settings page in a browser and changing the Wi-Fi channel, or in fact ANY changes on this page, check what the Wi-Fi "Security Key" is set to. In my case the browser was inserting the ADMIN password, so when I saved the overall settings on this page the Wi-Fi password was getting changed! No wonder nothing worked afterwards!

Easy when you know what to look our for! Smiley Tongue

Don't know how to avoid inserting the wrong password automatically though?!

Re: BT Whole Home - Changing WiFi Channel problem

Thanks for updating on what was happening!

You can turn off "AutoFill" or "AutoComplete" for the http://mybtdevice.home site to avoid the password being saved - the settings depend on your browser.

Here's an example for Chrome:
