BT are clearly capable of fixing the SSID issue, they managed it on the HH6. So why not these?

I have no idea. Why don't you contact BT and ask them.

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.

That’s fine. I can wait. No point speaking to someone in a Call Centre either.

Hi Puntoboy

Have you tried logging on to the web interface at http://mybtdevice.home and going to Wi-Fi Settings?

I believe the web interface will allow spaces, it's currently just the app that blocks spaces.

Re: BT Whole Home WiFi - SSID Spaces

You need to be connected to the Whole Home Wi-Fi network for the URL to work. If not you can find the IP address of the discs and go to that instead.

You'll need to log on with the admin password and then press "Settings" on the top menu.

Let me know how you get on!

Yeah DNS isn’t working, IP works OK. I’m connected via VPN at the moment so don’t have the admin password with me so I’ll check tonight when I am at home! Sounds promising though.

I have reached out to BT Whole Home support via email as well. Hopefully they’ll confirm.

Re: BT Whole Home WiFi - SSID Spaces

OK that didn’t work I’m afraid, although the documentation on the webpage does say that spaces are not allowed. It’s the iOS app that does not say this.

I have reached out to BT and after some back and forth, they responded with this.

“A new firmware version and app should be available on the Monday 11th December which should correct this problem.

So fingers crossed this will be fixed next week.

So this has now been fixed with the latest firmware released today. The documentation on the iOS App is now accurate.
