BT Whole Home

Hi so I've bee  with BT a long time now, decent connection speed but always poor to spread wifi signal. I had the Orbi 2 disc mesh setup with poor results for connection upstairs.

I bought the 3 disc BT Whole home:-

Downstairs

Hub to disc 1 ethernet

Disc 2 - excellent connection

Upstairs

Disc 3 - cant get an excellent connection anywhere, tried directly above others discs and on the stairs but nothing better than good. Tells me to relocate it for better signal.

Can I connect disc 3 to the hub via ethernet so it has 'excellent' connection?

Re: BT Whole Home

If you have Whole Home Gen 1, then yes, if its Whole Home Premium you would have to have the cable from the master, 2nd Ethernet port to the 3rd disc.

Re: BT Whole Home

I bought it from EE with my mobile contract. So I would assume that's standard whole home?! Or is that a different ball game all together. Do I need to contact BT themselves to change anything?

Re: BT Whole Home

Hi @Kr15Nwt , yes the Whole Home provided by EE is standard. You can connect your 3rd disc with Ethernet.
No need to contact BT or EE to change anything 🙂

Hope this helps
