BT Whole home system and Powerline extenders

Can I feed a powerline adapter with the data connection from the socket at the back of a BT Whole home disc?

The FAQ (http://btsupport.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/c/8071) says that you can use the Ethernet port on the downstream Whole Home Discs to deliver network connections to your devices so I don't see why not

Re: BT Whole home system and Powerline extenders

Thanks for responding. I tried it out and it worked for short time and then stopped working altogether. My hub 6 was playing up and I had to get it replaced. Wasn't sure if my trying it caused the hub to stop working. Does it also make sense to clone the powerline adapter to the whole home disc?
