BT WholeHome WiFi Ethernet

Go to solution

Hello all,

this may be a simple question, but it is baffling me!

Do I have to have a router before connecting my BT Whole Home Wifi or can I buy an adapter to plug it straight into the wall? Currently, it runs into my old BT hub with wireless disabled before being connected via ethernet to the WholeHome Wifi.

Welcome to this user forum.

You need to have a router. If you attempt to plug it into a phone socket, you will  damage it, as there is 50 Volts on a phone socket.
