Hi @conrail
Thank you for rasing this. I'm sorry to hear your having issues your recently purchased BT product.
Firstly, Try rebooting the handset having the issues by holding down the power button. If this hasn't worked try reseting the handset.
Reset the handset or base settings
1. Select Menu, scroll up using the button to display Settings and press Select.
2. Press to highlight Reset and press Select.
3. H/set settings is highlighted, press Select or press to highlight Base settings and then press Select.
4. Reset settings back to default? is displayed, select Yes.
5. Resetting The default system PIN is 0000. You can change this to your own preferred 4-digit code. The system PIN is diferent to the call control PIN. The system PIN is used when changing certain settings and for registration/ de-registration. If you make a mistake, select Clear to delete a digit. If you reset the handset settings all the handset settings will return to their default settings, e.g. the handset name, ringer melody, all volume levels, display and alarm settings. If you reset the base settings all the base settings will return to their default settings, e.g. the base ringer melody, all volume levels, PBX access codes and answer machine settings. If the handset or base settings are reset, the handset will restart automatically.
If none of the above hasn't worked, you may need to return the device to the retailer.
thank you TE_it, there is no power button, the manual says unplug the power cable, unplug the phone line, removed the batteries for 10 minutes then reassemble which I have done, waiting 15 minutes, still just a blank screen, since then a 2nd handset display has gone so I have uninstalled the lot and have packed it up to return, only has it since 6pm Friday night,
thank you for your help and advice, I appreciate it, have a nice day
