I have a BT4600 Premium Nuisance Call Blocker big button cordless phone.
When someone phones the base rings and also a BT amplifier/speaker. But the handset doesn’t ring so if I’m in another room with the handset I can’t hear the phone.
I’ve looked in the manual and it seems to say if block nuisance calls is on the handset won’t ring.
Is it not possible to have the blocking feature and have the handset ring audible?
Does the display show an incoming call, ie is it just not ringing out aloud?
Check that the volume is turned upon the handset.
Turn the handset off using the red button, then turn it back on again and see if it then works correctly.
In Settings there is an option to factory reset the handset.
With Call Blocking active, you shouldn't get any ringing whatsoever from unwanted calls, so this is not the cause of your problem. The display will show it as a missed call though, you can then use the block button to block it if you wish.
I don't think it's ringing when unblocked numbers call. I'll check tomorrow, it's my 90 year old mum's phone.
I've had a similar issue with my Mums', no sound but the handset lit up. Switching the handset on and off sorted it for me.
