Re: BT4600 Twin

Welcome to this user forum.

Possibly a faulty base unit, perhaps it has been situated in a damp area, and moisture has got inside?

On the handsets, there is also a volume control up/down (centre)  on the front, has that been turned down by mistake, there is also an amplify button on the side.

Re: BT4600 Twin

Thanks Keith

After many hours messing about I've come to the same conclusion.

She has the base station on a small table under her window and I've a

funny feeling water from her plants has maybe got onto the base station.

Wouldn't mind but feel a bit stupid not thinking about this in the first place seeing as I was a TO with BT

for over 30years.

Re: BT4600 Twin

That would certainly upset it. Its the only common thing that would affect both handsets.

If you replace it with a single base and phone, you may be able to pair the existing handsets with it.
