Hi there, I have BT600 monitor and while it’s picking up noise and the lights up the side are flashing right up to red, it isn’t always making any noise. The volume is turned right up and sometimes it does work, but it’s less and less often. Can’t currently use the unit at night as can’t trust it to wake me up. Any help appreciated! Thanks!
Hi @kimbo2013 welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. Sorry that you are having a problem with the volume on your unit. Please can you check and confirm the exact model for me and we will be able to assist you further.
cheers
John
Hi there, it’s a BT6000! I missed off a zero!
Thanks! I have emailed and will follow their advice which is a restart and if that doesn’t work it is faulty and I need to return. Thanks
Heya just wondering if you got sorted with yours as I'm currently having problems with mine 😭
Hi there, I emailed the support email another user provided and they suggested a restart. I did that but it didn’t work so they gave me an error code and I was able to get a new one from Amazon no bother although had bought months previously. Apparently are all guaranteed for two years I think they said.
Thanks
Can you remember how you reset it? I had thought of doing that but can't find any I syructions anywhere for the bt6000 to do a reset (found some for a diff model but it said hold the '+' button which the 6000 doesn't have) 🤔
Mine picks up the louder noises, like when he starts actually crying, but given I can usually hear that from around the house that's not what I need the monitor to pick up!!! It doesn't pick up him babbling, kicking the mattress and even didn't pick up me walking into his room and putting him in the cot and walking out and closing the door. Doesn't pick up his ewan sheep playing the lullaby when it's turned on. Just seems strange to me and definitely not as sound sensitive as I would expect
I'm also having this issue, did your restart work?
I have had this same issue with the BT096030 on two separate models. One worked well for a few months then this started occurring, so BT replaced it. My replacement unit is doing this same thing now. Have tried resetting the handset with no luck. The audio works perfectly on my phone so it’s clearly an issue with the handset.
Is it possible to update the firmware? Would this be a possible fix?
Surely if this is a known fault there needs to be a product recall. Quite dangerous IMO.
