Broadband extender crashes router

Go to solution

Hi,

I have a Home Hub 5 type A and broadband extender flex 1000. For the last year this has worked fine with one ethernet connection running through the extender. I now want to run two through. When I add the second connection through ethernet 2 on the extender, the router crashes and both the ethernet and wifi connections go down. I have to unplug the ethernet 2 connection on the extender and restart the router before it will work again. Any help gratefully accepted!

thanks,

John

Can you confirm you are not trying to connect 2 Hub Ethernet ports to the extender?

You only connect 1 port at the Hub extender and 2 at the slave extender.

Hi,

That is really helpful, thanks

I had assumed that you put two at the extender to get two at the slave. Now I understand, its working fine.

Many thanks for your help

John
