Broadband extender unidentified networks

Go to solution

I have 2 broadband extenders which have worked OK for more than a year, one  connected to a laptop and 1 to a smart tv. they have just stopped working and though the data light is showing on the extenders, the laptop gives an unidentified network error.

I have reset the hub but this hasn't made a difference. if I connect laptop by Ethernet cable directly into to the hub it connects to network OK. I don't know what else to try.

@Dpking

Are both remote ends slaved to the single master unit connected to the home hub, as you can only have one master connected to the home hub, the rest have to be slaved of that one master.

Did you do a full factory reset of the home hub?

Presumably it's possible to do a hub Save, then the Factory Reset, and then a Restore to get the settings back, right?
