Compatibility BT Mini Hotspot Wi-fi

Go to solution

I have had a Hotspot 600 with a single slave unit for a couple of years.  I’ve now bought a refurbished set with 2 slave units, which works fine.  Can I use my original slave as a 3rd unit?  Obviously its wireless key is different from that of the 2 new slaves, but I assume that refers to the sender unit.  At the moment, my iPhone recognised the spare unit, but can’t get internet through it.

Yes you can, see "How to add more Powerline extenders to your existing network" in the manual at

https://www.bt.com/content/dam/bt/help/legacy-ug/broadband-and-wi-fi-devices/3907%20Mini%20Wi-Fi%20H...

In short, this changes the network key to that of the network you wish to add to
