Connecting a BT Home Hotspot to an existing BT Flex 1000

Go to solution

Hi All,

So I am considering buying a BT Home Hotspot 600 kit from Currys tomorrow.

I was wondering, can I sync this with my existing Flex 1000 kit I use for my BT TV? Or do I need to sync it via its own connector?

Main reason for this is that my Flex1000 is passthrough so I dont lose the socket whereas the hotspot's connector is not.

Thanks,

Will

Welcome to this user forum. @willho01

That is not going to work, as they both use different AV standards.

You also will not be able to connect two separate systems to your home hub as neither will work, and you will crash the home hub.

You could however add an extra Flex 1000 unit, and pair it up with the existing master one which is connected to the home hub.

That's a shame. I've done just that and connected a wireless access point.

What exactly have you managed to pair with the BT Flex 1000, as it may help others?

I assume its an AV600 device that you have paired with it?

Or do you mean you have simply added a wireless access point to the Flex 1000?

That would have been my choice. Thanks for the update.
