Father unable to use his computer due to dementia

My father is now unable to use his computer due to dementia.    My mother has rang BT to cancel her broadband, just wants to pay for her telephone and television usage.  Apparently she was told she could either continue paying her contract to the end or pay a lump sum of £400 to have the broadband removed.  Does this sound right?  Thank you

Re: Father unable to use his computer due to dementia

Hi @gcking059

It sounds like they have only just signed up for a new contract and this will be an early termination fee.

You should note that to continue with BT TV then broadband is a requirement. However the box will continue to work with free to air channels.
