We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
I have just setup my 3 disc Whole Home Wi-Fi. Normal access works fine. Connecting via the guest network results in a no-internet access message (in Windows) and no internet access.
The primary disc is connected to a Netgear GS748TP managed switch via ethernet. The other 2 discs are connected via wireless.
There are about half a dozen other devices connected to the GS748TP via ethernet, including a Smoothwall firewall which is used access the internet.
The primary DNS server is the DNS server on a Windows domain controller because it is required for Active Directory. The secondary DNS server is the Smoothwall server which is also the gateway.
Any idea why I cannot access the internet using the guest network?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Do you have your discs set to use static IP addresses? If so, this issue is fixed in next week's release.
If not - could you share more about your setup? Are your DNS servers in the same subnet as your Whole Home Wi-Fi discs?
Yes they are setup with static IP addresses.
I'll look forward to the next update.
