HH6 Rebooting i.e. 00:39:54, 18 Jun. ppp1:TR69 receiving Reboot message

Hi,

I'm getting royally p****ed off with these TR69 demanded reboots.

I surf late into the night - well try too - and frequently everything stops, when I check the hub it is in reboot mode (for no other good reason).  It comes up fine and with the same speeds showing on the gui page (but this takes an age) and very often times out a web site being used.
The logs record many events such as

@A40

Perhaps you should consider a third party router which cannot be remote rebooted by BT?

Re: HH6 Rebooting i.e. 00:39:54, 18 Jun. ppp1:TR69 receiving Reboot message

is the reboot happening daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly?  at any particular time?

Re: HH6 Rebooting i.e. 00:39:54, 18 Jun. ppp1:TR69 receiving Reboot message

Seems half my original post was cut-off (haa, ha, just like my BB).

No particular time, only notice/bothered when I'm using it.
Often early hours of the morning. The last three being;
18/6 00:40
13/6 15:30
10/6 00:30
Am I correct in thinking TR69 events are those (mis)managed far afar ?

Yes.
What are the current recommendations ?
(I don't need wifi, I use a perfectly good WAP elsewhere on the system).

TR69 scheduled reboots don't happen that often and the router will not reboot if there is traffic going through it.

Happy to have a look at your router if you send me your account details

Re: HH6 Rebooting i.e. 00:39:54, 18 Jun. ppp1:TR69 receiving Reboot message

that looks more like your connection is dropping and not BT rebooting the hub

please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if  HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

enter your phone number and post results  remember to delete number   https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

Thanks for the interest so far.

17070 is nice and quiet.

Q.  Are TR69 events NOT all instigated remotely then ? (are they the remte events at all?)
- because some of the logs do mention remote and reboots.
