Hardwire second disc in Whole home hub

I’ve had the BT Nimans 65301 Whole Home Wifi System setup for over a year in the house, runs off a virgin router and generally in most rooms the wifi speed is exceptional!

There is however one room (furthest from the main router and primary disc) which has always struggled so push came to shove and I installed an additional cat5 cable.

initially I’d read that this would work however I can’t get it too??? It seems to get confused with what is the master disc and then I had to re-pair the whole mesh which took ages!!!

Anyone else here done this? My sons Xbox is now hardwired but the rest of the wifi in that corner of the house is still poor so I’d ideally like the 4th disc to be hardwired and extend the wifi range that way.

thx in advance…

Re: Hardwire second disc in Whole home hub

Whole home or Premium Whole home?

There's an important difference in that with Premium you can only connect one disc to the router, others have to be daisy chained.

Thanks it’s definitely whole home ‘standard’ not premium!

still no joy after plugging the furthest disc in to the cat5?

Re: Hardwire second disc in Whole home hub

Did you set the disc up first by connecting it direct to your router (as shown in the youtube video the link I posted earlier links you to?)
