How do I block a single site with the Smart Hub?

Go to solution

Hi guys,

How do I block a single site using the Smart Hub 6?  I don't want to turn on parental controls, just block one particular site.

Thanks!

As far as I am aware you will not be able to block only one site at a network level with the Smarthub. You would need to use parental controls or buy a VDSLModem/router that allows you to specify and blck web sites individually.

It can`t be done on any of the home hubs, but can be done on a third party £35 router. You can add multiple sites, and also restrict Internet access as well.

BT like to keep things simple on the home hub, so they can control it.

Thanks guys.  It's a bit disappointing that I can't restrict access to a particular site.  I'm very happy with the HH6 otherwise.

BT network based Parental Controls will allow you to add a site that you want blocked, but it will affect all devices connected to your network.

Thanks, I will try this - it looks like it will work after all.

Many thanks, Keith!
