I was thinking of buying a second-hand BT Whole Home Wifi kit, and was wondering if there was any potential drawback to buying older equipment - has the hardware been upgraded since it was first introduced?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Same hardware all along. All updates have been done in software.
Hope this helps.
Great - thanks for the info
Hi just checking that this is still the case
thanks
Hi @L60mcm,
The hardware for each of the WHW variants (Standard, Mini, Premium) remains the same in regards to their main components (e.g. Memory, Chipset, Antennas, etc.) - there is no increased performance/spec in buying newer hardware over older hardware.
The most notable change in the hardware is the change to the new BT logo. But that's purely a cosmetic change.
Hope that helps

Thanks for getting back to me.
