I have had several package updates since moving to BT in 2015 but none of those updates included a hub / router update. So I am currently 5-6yrs behind the current offering and it’s starting to show in the performance. Can I request a new router update for my Halo 1 package or should I leave when my current package finishes in Feb 2021?
What hub do you have?
As far as I know, there is no way to force a software update but you could try a factory reset if it's not performing well

So you must have a standard ADSL connection and not a superfast one, unless of course you are on superfast, and also have a white Openreach modem.
The Home Hub 4 is the latest home hub for an ADSL connection.
