Hub has got wet, help

Hi All, following latest storm water came through a window frame and managed to get on to home hub, ( full fibre )No lights are showing. any help on fixing  / drying  hub would be appreciated

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

I doubt that you will be able to do much, as water tends to penetrate underneath surface mounted components, causing low resistance paths. There is no harm in putting it somewhere warm, but many such devices are beyond economic repair when they get wet.

Assuming you are still in a contract, I would be inclined to ring BT and ask for a replacement home hub.

Many thanks. Just wondered if it could be dried out. guess ill give it 24hrs then ask for a replacement

I would also agree to call up and explain what happened, electrical devices and water don't mix well together.
