I have just bought an AV600 broadband extender to carry the internet signal to a TV at the other end of the room 15' away (same circuit). I have tested the speed onto the first plug-in extender as just over 30mbs. At the other end I can get only just under 6mbs out of the device, which is too little for smooth playback of catch up serviced (BBC iplayer etc). I have tried the receiver end in the kitchen and can get less than 1mbs in there. The house is modern, so the wiring is OK, although the kitchen is on a separate circuit which may account for that problem. Any idea why the loss of broadband speed should be so great?
