I've got a desktop PC connected to the BT router by a pair of mini connectors. This has been working fine for more than a year. In the last few days the speed drops to almost nothing multiple times during the day. If I briefly unplug, or switch off and then on again the power socket that's got the connector that's hooked up to the PC then it all goes back up to full speed again.
Is this the connector on the way out or is there something else that might be causing it?
