same here.... be nice to know what's changed as you said....
Hello.
There is no reason why a simple update/log page is not produced, listing the changes made in the latest firmware.
I use a BT Smart Hub 2, Out of interest did the firmware SG4B1000E020. keep the BT wi-fi status to Not Active ?
Mine didn't.
When it updated it turned BT wi-fi status to active.
BT removed the simple option to turn it off via the webpage interface, and so far I've no way of turning it off 🙁
Its an old link and doesn't give the option to opt out.
Once I get to the Your Products screen the only item mentioning BT Wi-Fi has a Learn More button, which then is asking me to sign up to it.
I posted a screenshot of that screen in this thread: https://community.bt.com/t5/Broadband-Extras-Apps-from-BT/How-do-I-turn-the-BT-wifi-hotspot-off/m-p/... Asking if it meant I had to press Setup Now button. But nobody replied.
There used to be the option mentioned in your link on the main panel. I did it a few years ago. But its not there now.
How do I attract a Mod to look to see if I have to press the setup button, or is there another option somewhere else?
@lifeonmars Good question because it seems that recent updates to SmartHubs 6 and Smarthub 2 the BT Wifi is being activated without owner’s knowledge. ThIs never used to happen unless a Factory Reset was performed.
I am using BT Smart Hub2 with firmware v0.17.01.12301-BT. updated 12 March 20 however that update still showed BT Wi-fi status: Not active
@lifeonmars I have Smarthub 2 and it started BTWiFi after the same update. The MyBT showed Not Active so I opted in and the following day opted out. After around 7 days the hub opted out.
