I can recommend the BT Helpdesk ...

Did you purchase a 2 or 3 disc pack , and have you used the app to install even if they are wired?

Re: New Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 18-03-19 (version 1.02.08 build02)

I have been holding off from getting Whole Home as I had read threads where connecting each disc via ethernet kept changing the Primary/master disk and they apparently didn't communicate with eachother. (Perhaps I am misinformed). Can someone please tell me if connecting each disc via ethernet cable will give me max speed. I have Virgin 350mb broadband. I plan to get 6 discs and run ethernet cables through the walls to each device.

If you have proper dedicated Ethernet cabling (not powerline adapters) I would recommend using something else like Ubquiti UniFi AC Lite AP. The BTWH can do it but there are several people who say using it this way isn’t ideal. They are primarily used as a wireless mesh, as most people don’t have dedicated cabling in their home.

Re: New Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 18-03-19 (version 1.02.08 build02)

I have a 3 disc system all wired using Ethernet. It's brilliant and causes me no issues.

I have been having a problem with interference on a TV but that's due to an old TV which is susceptible  to WiFi interference, and it seems that the most recent software update has increased the signal power in some way. It's simply time for a new TV.

A 3 disc pack, not wired and used the app. Have tried everything except rolling back the firmware. Worked perfectly ever since I purchased until the last firmware update. As no one else seems to have experienced this issue, I assume it is pure coincidence that BT are actively marketing a new product at the same time as my old one goes haywire!

Same here my wired setup worked fine until the last few fw updates.

Also why not give users the option of setting different names for the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands? Let me connect to the band I want to connect to.

Re: New Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 18-03-19 (version 1.02.08 build02)

This release is the first I've upgraded to in a year. The version I had before (I forget the version) was stable but gave me issues with my Chromecasts so I thought I'd give this a go.
It's been running for over a week now on the new version and seems just as stable and my Chromecast issue seems to have resolved itself. So I'm happy. However I have turned auto updates off again as I like to control when I upgrade these discs.

Rolling back to build 12, then factory reset every disc then re-add as if its a new setup (annoying as that loses all stored names and settings) and turn off auto update has restored my reliable setup.

Re: New Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 18-03-19 (version 1.02.08 build02)

I took delivery of a new 3 disc Whole Home Wifi kit and have been confused for the last 3 days why my Garage disc was so poor considering the next disc wasn't too far away. It became very clear to me that it was connecting to the router cupboard right at the front of the house! I stumbled upon this thread while searching on Google and was able to find the instructions to give the rollback a try.

In the hope that this raises awareness with BT and those responsible for the last update I can confirm that a rollback to 1.02.06 (Build 12) instantly re-introduced daisy chaining in my topology and now my Garage has an Excellent strong connection.

I've got a 6 disc system, with this new firmware (installed via the early adopter program). I've had a few instances where 2 discs are red and need power off /on to resolve.
