Re: New Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 18-03-19 (version 1.02.08 build02)

Have read that and it does not help. Have factory reset and setup the system from fresh and still same issue. I have emailed them and attached a copy of the log file.

You can rollback but I’m guessing you know that...worth doing if it fixes your issues as I don’t think the new firmware offers much beyond the last version. I have one disc which now shows excellent when previously good and my signal strengths on each disc have now settled at slightly better levels, but not anything that makes an appreciable difference. I’m not getting any device dropouts or discs disconnecting though...

Thanks, had the same issue with the last FW. Have just left 1 disc off to avoid issues now. Down to 1 wifi bar on my phone in bedroom but at least it works. Would be great if I could rollback a few FW updates as that was stable for me.

Re: New Whole Home Wi-Fi Firmware released 18-03-19 (version 1.02.08 build02)

Can any Bt insiders suggest if there is any future plans to give the option to turn off 5ghz, or allow seperate SSID for 2.4 and 5. I know this has been asked a lot in the past, but im sure that was the android issue. It forced me to buy a more expensive version of my new phone that was 5ghz too, and that has fixed most issues I had

This introduces the rollback feature, so you can revert to the previous release (v1.02.06 build12), should you want to do so.

where exactly is this option located?

Go to web interface http://mybtdevice.home and login then go to http://mybtdevice.home/rollback.htm where you can rollback. Should only be a last resort.

Re: Anyone having issues with version 1.02.08 build02

Funnily enough my BTWholeHome system worked perfectly for months until the latest firmware update. Ever since then it has been dropping out on a very regular daily basis. None of the recommended fixes work. Then I received the invitation to upgrade to the new hub and complete wi-fi. Would I be a cynic if I thought that the two things are related? Strangely I had a similar experience which led me to upgrade to the BTWholeHome system. Something to look into?

Yes, they’re pushing that upgrade  at me too as a BT plus customer...I’ve already said on this forum that I’d consider it if they offered a refund/part refund of the £180 I’ve already spent on my Wholehome system, or offer the upgrade for free. But I’m not spending more to what looks essentially like black discs rather than white discs, perhaps someone else may know if there is a notable difference? My worry though is that product support will be transferred from Wholehome to Complete and soon we’ll get no more firmware updates.

I have been advised to try turning off legacy steering with regards to devices connecting/disconnecting.

Re: Anyone having issues with version 1.02.08 build02

Please note the White and Black discs can't be connected together

Whole Home Wi-Fi (White) is designed to eliminate dead spots in all homes in one seamless network. It works no matter who your broadband provider is to create a separate network in your home.

Complete Wi-Fi (Black) is different to Whole Home Wi-Fi and the two don't work together. Complete Wi-Fi is based on similar technology but with improved firmware integrated into the Smart Hub 2.

If you want to find out more, take a look at : https://www.bt.com/broadband/complete-wifi
