Number of devises linked to wholehome disks

Go to solution

I wonder if there is a maximum number of devises that can link to the wholehome disk. I have 5 extra people using devises and today my wifi went pear shaped. could get wifi from first disk linked to router, but others didn't want to work. tried turning off on to router etc and then found could not turn off you view now seems to be working but annoying

thanks

Graham

When you look at the discs and the Network/Topology are the discs connected in daisy chain or star, I have been told approx. 32 per SSID per disc > so 64 per disc effectively, but if you exceed it, it will just kick off older clients rather than crashing though.

How many devices have you connected?

If you should experience the problem this again, if you can get a copy of the Whole Home system logs before you power reset the discs, and contact the helpdesk and confirm the time you problem occurred, they should have some detail to work with.

To get the logs, enter http://mybtdevice.home in a web browser on a device (PC, Mac or Android) connected to the Whole Home WiFi. Enter the Admin Password when prompted. Tap System then System Log. You can then create and export all logs for the discs. These will appear in downloads.

You can then contact the helpdesk by email see:
