Really slow BTHomeSpot but only on iPhone?

Hi,

This issue is really bothering me, mainly because there is very little to no other reports of it that I can see.

We have a couple of BTHomeSpots in the house that work brilliantly with every device connected to it...except my iPhone.

Speed tests on all devices (Xbox, iMac, android phones) come back as 30+ mb but the iPhone on both HomeSpots comes back below 0.5 mb.

Can anyone think of a reason this might be happening?

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to this user forum.

Does it connect at the right speed on the BT Home Hub?

Did you clone them to the home hub, or do they have their own separate SSID?

They have their own ssid, didn’t know you could clone.

It may not be anything worth worrying about.
Are you using Bluetooth? If so, turn it off and try again.
It badly affects Wi-Fi speed tests on my iPad. My 70mbps connection reduces to a reported 4mbps if I test with Bluetooth active, but only for the iPad. The actual connection is 70mbps for every other device.

Its best not to, as that can cause issues.

Sounds like some form of wireless incompatibility.

Thanks but Bluetooth doesn’t seem to be affecting it. Iv searched the web high & low and there doesn’t seem to be anyone else having this issue, it’s very strange....and frustrating.
