Registering an additional BT2700 handset

I am having trouble registering an additional handset because I don’t know the PIN number. Can you tell me how to find it, or obtain a new one?

If you have never changed it then it’s probably 0000.

Thanks - I’ve tried 0000 but kept getting “Failed”

I’ve just looked through the instructions and the default pin is definitely 0000. You might be best doing a reset of the phone so the pin is reset to 0000.

Thanks for your help. I’ve reset the PIN to 0000 and tried to register again. Still no luck - I get the “failed” message again. Any suggestions as to what else I might be doing wrong?

After I replied to your last post I tried again. I now seem to have 2 handsets marked “handset 1”. The original one works fine. When I try to dial out from the second one I get a message “the number you have dialled has not been recognised “. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
