Just noticed...
Firmware version:
v0.15.00.06145-BT
Firmware updated:
3-Oct-2019
Haven't had time to test yet.
Sadly the firmware update has not brought my usb back to life!!
Have you carried out a factory reset of the Smarthub since the firmware has been updated.
It won't restore the old firmware but it may make sure that the new firmware has been installed correctly.
Once you have done that make sure you turn off "Smart Set Up" on the hub.
Thanks for advice.
I factory reset and removed smart set up
I also reformatted to FAT32 and altered protocol to SMB1
The disc remains stubbornly undiscoverable - even though it is listed under usb on hub manager.
Is there anything else you are able to recommend?
There are a number of VDSL modem/routers on the market. It would all depend on your budget and personal requirements of what you want the router to do so it would be difficult to recommend any specific one.
Read the reviews before deciding.
An added bonus with the third party VDSL Modem/routers is that you can control if and when you do a software update.
Just a quick stupid question - How do you update the firmware? There doesn't appear to be an option on either the My BT App or by interrogating the BT Hub Manager on Chrome.
Thanks in advance.
