Hi @sBerry81 I called earlier and left a brief message; sorry I missed you. If you are still having a problem with the USB connection please can you answer the following questions for me?
When was it working? – has it always worked?
What the filesystem format is? FAT/NTFS etc..
Volume name? Example: Daves-drive
What actions have been tried? Reboot? Another drive/usb?
Post back and let me know.
I hope you got my previous message and photos.
I cannot let you know the file system as I will not be home until Sunday.
The set up worked well until the firmware update.
The USB stick I tried showed as connected on router page but not on Windows.
@Tallmat Thanks for sending over your details I've logged this on your account and as @JohnC2 has advised the Hub team are investigating and I'll get back to you as soon as I have any updates from them.
Would you be able to post back with answers to the questions @JohnC2 has asked and I'll pass on your answers to the Hub team.
Hi there. I have a mac formatted passport drive but if its connected you can only read files on not write them no good for time machine. If you format something as fat32 you can read and wite. However fat32 is less reliable than mac osx format.
When you go to get info it says smb(ntfs). How is this possible? If you plug in directly to the mac it works fine. Does bt’s smart hub not support different file systems?
I too have this issue.
While I was on holiday my SH2 had a FW upgrade to v0.13.03.02221-BT , and now I can no longer access my 1TB external hard drive connected to the USB port of the hub. I've had this working on previous hubs and was fine on the SH2 up until this upgrade.
Th HD works fine when plugged into my laptop and a pen drive of 64Mb works ok on the SH2, so I think the FW upgrade has now put a limit on the size of USB device that can be connected to the SH2?
Can you assist??
