Re: Smart Hub latest Firmware

Just checked mine and firmware is  0.09.05.11160. Is that a later or earlier release.

Re: Smart Hub latest Firmware

Latest release is SG4B1000B540 ... where did you find that string of numbers? It doesn't have the format of a typical version number.

Re: Smart Hub latest Firmware

Interesting and unusual for BT to deviate from the norm! So I am unable to answer your question

Re: Smart Hub latest Firmware

Thanks Richardflea

My concern is that a recent AVG scan is warning of a serious DNS vulnerability and I'm trying to see if it's real or not

Re: Smart Hub latest Firmware

@skier1  I think it was Avast not AVG and it is covered here https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Devices/Avast-reports-smarthub-vulnerable-to-attack/m-p/1822124

Re: Smart Hub latest Firmware

Hmm - a firmware with a version number less than 1 - that doesn't sound overly reassuring. Under normal versioning you would expect that to be a beta or pre-release version.

What service do you use - ADSL, FTTC, FTTC G.Fast, FTTP (+/- Ultrafast)? Perhaps the firmware is specific to a smart hub model that is used on a particular service, maybe something fairly new.

What is the first part of your serial number (the bit inbetween the two '+' symbols)? - this first part tells you the model number of router that you have. The router Type is also listed on the back of the hub, behind the slide out credentials card.

For instance my Smart Hub is a Type A, the model number is 084318 and I have firmware version SG4B1000B540.
