Smarthub (6a) Access Control issues / not working / broken .... help

Hi,

Does anybody know how to sort out these access controls.

My Smarthub keeps  adding additional Mac addresses into the Access control page and then turning off all devices connected on wifi.

those boxes highlighted in red used to be IP addresses until about 40 minutes ago.

Its driving me up the wall, This is the second Smart Hub I've had and I only joined BT 4 days ago.

I've tried :

  • switching all wifi devices to 'always use this IP Address'
  • Turned off ULA
  • IPV6 allocation mode off
  • Disconnected my BG extender and only used the wifi from the hub.
  • factory reset router multiple times

Is there anyone who knows how to fix this ?

I spoke to someone at BT yesterday and was told that one of their Applications team said it was a software problem. ( Im still waiting for the email I asked for to confirm this...) might b a long wait.

so do I continue down this route or bite the bullet and buy a decent router and backcharge BT for it ?

Just for completeness please see below

 Serial number:

+084316+NQ93921096

 Firmware version:

SG4B1000E01E

 Firmware updated:

04-Jan-2020

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

Bob

Have you checked MYBT and made sure parental control is switched of?

It is up to you if you want to buy another modem/router but BT won't pay for it

Why does it need to be switched off ? I thought that was the filter that prevented the kids from accessing spurious content ?

can you only have one or the other ?
