they're old Foscams - 802.11b only. Interesting point about compatibiity mode, I've enabled it, and we'll see what happens. cheers 🙂
That will certainly help you.
In order to be more efficient, WHW uses a minimum data rate of 6Mbps rather than 1Mbps - essentially meaning that less airtime is used for overheads and control traffic. This means 802.11b clients may struggle to connect properly as they will use 1Mbps.
One of the changes in compatibility mode is the minimum date rate is set down to 1Mbps (802.11b) so this should help you.
Hi - just to update you all ....
i ended up doing a factory reset - then updated each disc firmware individually , reconfigured and they are all back up now ...
No devices currently showing as puased - which was my biggest issue ( lets hope thats fixed)
I've finally been able to update after resetting the discs.
Can you confirm what the steering page should look like now?
I have 'All Steering' as enables.
AP Steering and Band Steering as disabled.
Legacy Steering as enabled.
Period and Thresh = 10.
You can set everything to "Enabled" now as there are changes to improve stability with steering in this release.
If you do still have problems, it'd be best to start with turning legacy steering off but I don't expect that'll happen anymore in this release.
Is theer any way to stop it checking for updates in the app ? - i've already turned off auto updates but i'd like to keep on this version as it seems stable for now ...
My system is aabout 2 months old and has been rock solid. It updated a few days ago to the latest firmware and now just contstanly needs rebooting everyday.
Purchased it from Currys, anyone know what my consumer rights are if I think its not fit for purpose. Its becoming an absolute nightmare.
