WiFi extender 1200

Go to solution

I have one of these and it was working fine up until a couple of days ago. It is about 18 months old and was bought from the BT shop.

It started 'not extending' and was constantly searching for the hub.

I unplugged it to let it cool down. (it wasn't overly hot, just a little warm but nothing to be concerned about)

I moved it closer to the hub a (HH5) and rest it.

I then tried to connect it to the hubvia WPS (it worked when new).

All that happens now is that the 2 red lights flash (too far and too close) and it won't search at all.

Has anyone got any advice or is it now dead?

Try resetting the home  hub and extender to factory defaults, and start again.

Wireless extenders usually give very poor performance compared to separate hotspot devices.
