Wifi extender 1200 - constant flashing / searching lights

Hi For some reason my extender that has previously worked in various locations is now doing an odd thing. I turned it on today and the scanning lights / arc just keep going. They don't settle on 'too close' or 'too far'. Could anyone share similar issues and solutions please?
